What was an originated idea in the winter of 2019, planned for Spring 2020 is finally planted and in bloom. Kansas Wesleyan will host a Spring weekend filled with several activities for all ages.
From a Senior art gallery exhibition, to a Spring musical “Sugar”, to a lilac and geranium sale, a KWU women’s alumni volleyball tournament, the best of KWU presentation and more, KWU is hoping to bring friends, alumni, families, parents to campus to celebrate the the many highlights and achievements of students.
You can see all that the Spring weekend has to offer, here on the KWU website.
Accomplished members of the Salina community will speak at the 7x7x7 Lecture Series, where seven different individuals will present for seven minutes each, all on seven different topics.
The main vision behind the weekend’s festivities was to bring an event that will engage supporters of Kansas Wesleyan about academic scholarships for students. The main feature of the Spring weekend will bring the Inaugural KWU Scholarship Gala with The Honorable William P. Graves ’76, former Kansas Governor as the guest of honor Saturday, April 23, for an evening celebration with live entertainment, uplifting conversations, and impactful stories from patrons and students.
Fili Creative, owned by Gus Applequist, CEO and KWU graduate, was on campus with his crew filming patrons and students, who give to or receive scholarships benefiting college education at KWU. This featured video will be shown at the scholarship gala.
