Kansas Wesleyan hosted their annual Winterpalooza event on December 7. It was a packed event, with many students and faculty in attendance, participating in different events and activities such as Santa hat and stocking decorating, a snow globe photo booth and many more. The participants could also enjoy warm and tasty hot chocolate and warm cookies, which were a hit.
Malik Mullins, a student and an athlete on the football team and Kansas Wesleyan University was in attendance and decorated a Santa hat.
“It reminds me of a lot of good memories and traditions I have with my family.”
“This was probably my favorite event that I have been to, because Christmas is my favorite holiday, and it reminds me of a lot of good memories and traditions I have with my family,” said Mullins.
The Winterpalooza event lasted from 10am to 1pm in the Student Activities Center (SAC) and during that time, students did have classes, but there was never a dull moment. There were many different areas to be involved in, and every station was busy.
Professor Lisa Dunn, an active member in the community events at Kansas Wesleyan, was in attendance.
“I enjoyed watching the students make memories, especially as the semester is wrapping up. It really makes the Christmas spirit come alive and be felt on campus, as it will be very quiet around here after finals week.”
