Over the past few years downtown Salina has made a name for itself after it was renamed a Kansas Main Street Member back in 2019. Since then, the downtown has seen huge success due to all of the new changes that have occurred. With the additions of small business shops, restaurants, and the art tours, downtown Salina is definitely a place to consider walking around at.

The Salina Community has also noticed these positive changes to downtown Salina as it encourages the community to come downtown with all of the different events that take place throughout the year. Whether that be dining at a local restaurant, shopping, or just walking around, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

When it comes to finding a place to eat, downtown Salina has many different places that are worth trying. Whether you are looking for casual dining, breweries, or fine dining, Salina has them all. One of the most popular restaurants downtown is Barolo Grille. Located on 112 S Santa Fe Ave, Barolo offers a fresh and elegant menu. If you are looking for something more relaxed, Blue Skye Brewery and Eats is another Salina Favorite. There are also a variety of different shopping options that downtown Salina offers as well. From boutiques to market shops, you will find out that there are many places to find unique gifts and clothing. Ashlyn Alam, a member of the Salina community says that she “enjoys going downtown to go to all of the different shops and boutiques.” One of the popular boutiques downtown is Sanity Boutique which is located on 135 S Santa Fe Ave. They offer a wide variety of clothing and jewelry of all brands.

While walking around downtown, you may notice all of the different murals and sculptures that are located all around. Recently, Boom! Salina took place and many murals were painted all around downtown. Ashley Prochazka, a member of the Salina Community says that she “loves walking downtown because of all of the murals that have been painted all around.” There is also a self-guided sculpture tour that is offered by the Salina Arts and Humanities where you get to explore all of the unique sculptures that Salina has to offer.
