This past Saturday, October 12, AMC Movie Night in Salina, Kansas, was a thrilling experience for the students of Kansas Wesleyan University who stayed in town during fall break. The event, held at the AMC Classic 10 Theater on South 9th Street, was organized for those who didn’t have anywhere to go during fall break. It turned out to be the perfect way for them to enjoy a fun night while hanging out with other students who were also in town.

Starting at 7:00 PM, students began lining up to grab their free tickets, which were available between 7:00 and 8:00 PM. One of the main attractions of the night was “Terrifier 3”, a horror movie that drew quite a bit of attention. Many of the students who stayed during fall break were eager to catch this scary film, and it didn’t disappoint. “Terrifier 3” is a sequel that follows the terrifying killer clown, Art, as he continues his horrifying rampage. The movie kept the audience on the edge of their seats, with plenty of jump scares and moments that made you want to cover your eyes.

Art the Clown was as creepy as ever, and the film did a great job of keeping the suspense high. Although the movie had a lot of gruesome scenes, it was clear that the students watching it were hooked. Some parts were so intense that you could hear gasps and nervous laughter throughout the theater. Fans of the horror genre definitely got what they came for, and many left talking about how “Terrifier 3” might be the scariest movie they’ve seen in a while.

But the night wasn’t all about scares. Students who weren’t into horror could choose from genres, including action, comedy, and drama. The event gave everyone a chance to take their mind off school and just enjoy some time with friends or even make new ones. It was a much needed break for many who didn’t have plans to leave town for fall break.

The theater’s snack bar was buzzing with activity as students lined up for classic movie snacks like popcorn, candy, and soda. Grabbing a big bag of popcorn and a cold drink made the experience even better, especially for those watching a movie as intense as “Terrifier 3”.

By the end of the night, student were leaving the theater with a mix of smiles and shock on their faces. Many were still chatting about the movies they had seen, especially those who watched “Terrifier 3”. The horror film left quite a few people wide eyed and a little shaken, with some saying it was one of the most intense and frightening movies of 2024. For those who stayed in town, AMC Movie Night provided a fun and thrilling evening, bringing students together for a fun night of entertainment they won’t soon forget.
