The Garage Automotive Museum Profile

The Garage Automotive Museum is a world-class exhibition that educates people about the restoration and preservation of automotive treasures. People from all over the United States travel here to see the constantly changing exhibit that showcases a variety of classic and custom cars with interactive features. After being a part of the $160+ million downtown improvement and redevelopment program, The Garage opened its doors to the public in early 2022. The Garage has been a huge attraction not only to the Salina community, but from people all over the United States. Aaron Morrison, a member of the Salina community says that “The Garage has been a great addition to Salina. I enjoy going there when they get new car exhibits because I enjoy looking at old cars and learning more about them.”

Currently, The Garage is showcasing two exhibits that feature The Crossroads Car Experience and KUSTOM KARS. The Crossroads Car Experience currently features classic cars that have been restored to perfect condition as well as an interactive exhibit. The Kool With A K- KUSTOM KARS currently features custom cars that were created and designed by a few of the brilliant car minds in the country. Darrell Ehrlich, a member of the Salina community, says that “I’ve recently visited The Garage to see the new exhibits. I always enjoy when The Garage brings in new car displays because they are cool to look at. Besides the new displays, I would say that my favorite cars that are at The Garage are the Zimmer Golden Spirit car and the variety of cars that are included in the KUSTOM KARS exhibit. There are also a variety of ways to help support The Garage by donations, volunteer and internship opportunities. All of the donations that The Garage receives helps them meet their goals by being able to expand their capabilities to be able to have featured car exhibits.
