Chaos in the Fieldhouse

With the snow on the ground from the recent winter storm that hit the Salina area and spring KWU athletics coming into season chaos is in the air. Outside athletics such as Baseball, Softball, and Golf are all looking to find some time to practice and with the Fieldhouse in Salina being the only place available you can see how time and patience can be an issue. 

How do they do it? With classes in session and a 5 hour time period for all 3 sports to get their work in, in time for season you would think there’s no way everyone can get their time and practice in. Surprisingly due to great communication between all three coaches and the Salina Fieldhouse workers they make sure everything stays on track and runs smoothly.

We stopped with Justin Gilliam and asked him about the Fieldhouse and how the chaos impacted the progression of the players for the upcoming season. ” It definitely something that is useful regardless of all the teams in there… without it we wouldn’t be anywhere close to season.”

The Fieldhouse is definitely a great impact for the teams of KWU and with season on the horizon teams are definitely greatly appreciated.
