Bravo Sliders n’ Bites: A Salina Slider Sensation!

Welcome back! I’m Jacob Fallon, and today we’re diving into the world of sliders, specifically at Bravo Sliders n’ Bites. Bravo boasts an impressive 4.8 stars on Yelp, making it a contender for one of Salina’s best burger joints. Let’s see if their sliders live up to the hype! As always, you can catch my video reviews before these blog posts come out on Instagram and TikTok.

A New Slider in Town

Located at 1400 E Iron Ave, Salina, KS, Bravo Sliders n’ Bites offers a diverse menu, including a new and intriguing creation: the Jambalaya Slider. This slider features your choice of protein—pork, beef, chicken, or even a Beyond (veggie) patty—along with two shrimp and rice. We decided to try the Jambalaya Slider, along with the classic Bacon Cheeseburger Slider and the fully loaded Deluxe Slider. The Bacon Cheeseburger Slider, as the name suggests, is a straightforward combination of bacon and cheese. The Deluxe Slider, on the other hand, comes with all the fixings you’d expect on a traditional burger. Finally, we sampled the “frips”—a sort of waffle fry without the holes—available with various seasonings. I opted for the Garlic Parmesan.

Let’s start with the Bacon Cheeseburger Slider. It arrived with a bang and was absolutely delicious! The seasoning was near perfect, and the overall flavor was a pleasant surprise. This slider earned an 8.5/10 on my taste scale. Next up was the Deluxe Slider. While it was good, I felt it had a bit too much going on, which prevented it from scoring as high as the Bacon Cheeseburger. It still earned a respectable 8/10. Now, for the limited-time Jambalaya Slider. To be honest, I didn’t have high hopes. The combination just didn’t seem like it would work. While it did have a little kick, that wasn’t the deciding factor in my scoring. I’m still a little surprised at how good it was, considering my initial skepticism. It landed an 8.2/10.

With the sliders out of the way, let’s talk frips. My only wish was that they offered Old Bay seasoning, as that’s a fantastic pairing with fries. These weren’t anything revolutionary—just fries with seasoning—but they were unique. I’d never heard of a “frip” before, so I give them a 7.7/10 for novelty and taste.

The service was outstanding. The food came out fairly quickly, and the staff member at the front was patient and helpful, explaining the entire menu. Service gets a 10/10. As for the price, I felt that $16 for three sliders, a drink, and frips wasn’t unreasonable, but it might be a bit much for a college student’s budget. Therefore, I’ll give it a 7.5 for price.

Summary

  • Service: 10/10. The staff explained the entire menu, the food arrived promptly, and they were patient with our order.
  • Price: 7.5/10. While reasonable, it might be a little pricey for some college students.
  • Food: 8.1/10 (combined average of all food items).
