A Day of Love and Connection at KWU
Salina, Kansas.- Valentine’s Day is a special occasion for celebrating love, friendship, and appreciation, and Kansas Wesleyan University (KWU) knows how to make it a memorable experience for students and staff alike. This year, the university is hosting a variety of engaging and heartwarming events to bring people together and spread positivity across campus.

Kissing Booth at Hauptli Student Center
On February 14th, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Hauptli Student Center will be the site of a fun and lighthearted event—a classic Kissing Booth! While the traditional concept of a kissing booth may come to mind, this modern take will focus on sweet treats and heartfelt conversations. Attendees will enjoy delicious chocolates while engaging in discussions about healthy relationships, making this event both enjoyable and educational.
Spread the Love: Love Notes and Heart Balloons
Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to show appreciation for those who have made a difference in your life. KWU encourages students to participate in the Spread the Love initiative by writing heartfelt notes to friends, faculty, or anyone who has positively impacted their KWU experience. In addition, heart-shaped balloons and special “Spread the Love” tags will be available to help send messages of kindness and admiration across campus. This event fosters a sense of community and reminds everyone of the power of appreciation and encouragement. For those who enjoy games and a little friendly competition, Valentine’s Plinko is the perfect activity! Students can participate in this fun Valentine’s-themed Plinko game and win delicious prizes. Whether it’s sweet treats or festive surprises, there’s something exciting in store for everyone who plays
Valentine’s Game Day: Basketball in Style
The celebration continues on February 15th with a thrilling Valentine’s Game Day! Students are encouraged to attend the men’s and women’s basketball games at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., dressed in their best Valentine’s-inspired outfits. Whether it’s pink, red, or heart-themed attire, the spirit of love and team pride will be on full display in the stands. Finishing off the day the the women won the basketball game becoming conference champions the end valentines with love and joy like it suppose to be!
