From Baseball Diamond to TikTok Food Star

Jacob Fallon, a New Jersey native, never imagined his college life would revolve around anything other than baseball. As a freshman at KWU, Jacob spent years diligently crafting his baseball skills, and eventually, he fulfilled his dream of playing college baseball.
Jacob’s family inspired him to start a food review TikTok page, sparking his desire to try something new in Salina, KS. “In Kansas, most of these places I’ve never eaten at, it was an opportunity to document something new”, said Fallon. Fallon’s first food review started at a Midwest staple, Braum’s. The Braum’s ice cream review got about 1,000 and views and from there Fallon’s page took off.
Encouraged by the response on his videos, Jacob decided to make food reviews a regular part of this Tik Tok. Afterward, Fallon decided to explore even more Salina staples, including Cozy Inn, La Curva, and Bogeys. His videos strike a balance between humor and genuine insight, often featuring his friends as guest tasters.
Fallonfoodreviews on Tik Tok quickly grew, as each video gets around 1,000 views. The most popular food review was when Fallon went to Spangles to review the Garlic Parm Cheeseburger.
“Many people have made appearances on it, and everybody seems to love it”, Fallon said about his page.
Fallon’s coaches and teammates have been supportive, often offering suggestions or places or wanting to be in the videos themselves. “I think my favorite thing is Coach Neale says he watches every video, and he thinks they’re hilarious”.
Looking ahead, Jacob wants to see his TikTok food page as more than just a hobby. He’s considering ways to incorporate it into a long-term thing, possibly by partnering with local restaurants.
“I would love to get an NIL deal with one of the places a review, but at the end of the day, it’s for entertainment purposes.
For now, Jacob Fallon is focused on maintaining his success on the baseball diamond and finding the next great meal in Salina to share with his followers.
