points.Landon Wagler expressed how, “that was another tough loss as it seems to keep repeatedly happening”.
The Coyotes did manage a 13 point win against Tabor College. With a very helping hand from Alex Littlejohn who scored 34 points and had 16 rebounds.
The team is now 11-13 (6-12) in conference which puts them in 12th place. Taking them out of the playoff race right now unfortunately for the first time in years. As they look to hopefully win out the rest of the year. And hope for some of the bottom teams to lose some games as well. The Coyotes have suffered some very close losses. Out of the 13 losses 8 have all been within 3-5 points. The next game is against Bethel College who is at the top of the conference on the road. And who the Coyotes lost a 19 point second half lead to and lost by 3 points at home.
Women’s Basketball
On the other side, the KWU women’s basketball team also went 1-1 as well beating York University by 4 points, 84-80. The Coyotes had 6 players in double digits. With Hampton Williams scoring 15 points followed by Lamyah Ricks 12 points.
The lost was against Tabor College in an overtime thriller, 68-75. Only 2 players scored double digits. With Lamyah Ricks leading with 19 points and Angel Lee behind her with 14 points. Paige Chauncey mentioned how the team is looking to, “bounce back against Bethel”.
