One student at Kansas Wesleyan University says that “1858 Coffee House is not only a great location to get coffee at, but is also a great place to study at. When the weather is nice enough I enjoy going to get a drink  there and go outside on their patio and do my homework. The staff members are always really friendly and they all are easy to talk to.”

Behind these doors are  agent workstations and offices, client meeting rooms, and administrative offices. The owner of SalinaHomes Real Estate Company is also the owner of 1858 Coffee House and says that “he always wanted to be downtown, involved in the heart of the community. We wanted to be involved in the community more, and what better way than a coffee shop downtown.”

When you look at their signature coffee drink menu it is full of familiar Salina locations such as: Indian Rock, Santa Fe, The Stiefel Theater, and the Smoky Hill River. They also offer other basic coffee and espresso options which include: cold brews, chai lattes, cappuccinos, mochas and other options as well. All of the drinks are customizable with a variety of different options that include syrups, sauces, creams, and milks. If you are not a big coffee drinker there are plenty of other non-coffee items on the menu that you can choose from. Some of these drinks include: smoothies, lemonades, teas, and matcha. One member of the Salina Community says that “I have never been a big coffee drinker so I like how 1858 has many non-coffee drinks to choose from. I really enjoy their strawberry, mango, and peach smoothies, as well as their peppermint and chamomile hot teas.”

Not only does 1858 Coffee House sell coffee/non-coffee beverages, but they also have a wide variety of pastries that they sell as well. Some of these pastries include: chocolate chip cookies, a variety of muffins, scones, danishes, several bagel flavors, and egg bites. One of the fan-favorite pastries are 1858’s homemade cinnamon rolls. One student at Kansas Wesleyan University says that “I enjoy the different drinks that 1858 offers, but I pretty much come only for the homemade cinnamon rolls that they sell. The cinnamon rolls are really good and are basically made fresh.”
