Holocaust Survivor Presentation

A special presentation will take place in the Kansas Wesleyan University’s Sams Chapel and will feature Holocaust survivor Dr. Judy Jacobs. Dr. Jacobs was born in 1937 in Budapest, Hungary. Her birth name was Judith Gondos.
Dr. Jacobs and her parents were incarcerated in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in Germany. Dr. Jacobs’ grandparents, as well as her extended family, were killed in Auschwitz-Birkenau. In 1944, Dr. Jacobs and her parents were taken to Switzerland. In 1946, they immigrated to the United States and settled in Washington, D.C. area in 1949.
Dr. Mike Russell, Professor of History at Kansas Wesleyan University made the arrangements for this special presentation through the (MCHE)Midwest Center for Holocaust Education.
