KWU INT. Student Spotlight

Despite Kansas Wesleyan being in the middle of the country, Its very well known for being able to recruit International students from around the world for various sports team’s. The KWU highlighted student of the week is athlete Jakil Silmaril. Jakil Plays soccer for Kansas Wesleyan and is originally from Germany. Jakil in a interview said he chose KWU for a simple reason. He stated that “I enjoy

the program, the academic approach is different than in Germany. The program here concentrates much more on the individual development of an athlete. Back home this is not the case.” He also went on to say that” KWU gives me the chance to work on myself. I also came to study acting, which was not possible in Germany”. Jakil has been in Kansas since August of this year and has really enjoyed it, hes a contributor in the class as well as the field and has moved into a more serious leadership as well as playing role as the season goes along.
