Kansas Wesleyan women’s volleyball hosted 2 home games last week. Wednesday, October 2nd, against Tabor College and Saturday, October 5th against University of Saint Mary. The first game against Tabor College the Coyotes were able to get a clean 3-0 sweep with the sets totals being (25-15, 25-19, 25-12). This was one of the best games so far this season from the Coyotes as they are currently 10-9 (2-3 in conference). Sophomore, Gianna Adriaanse and Junior, Sara Bebout were major impacts the first game with Adriaanse recording 18 kills and Bebout recording 11 kills each had 1 block as well.
The following game things took an unfortunate change for the Coyotes as they went 0-3 in close sets against University of Saint Mary with the set totals being (23-25, 22-25, 21-25).This game was close all 3 sets as the Coyotes could not string together to get over the hump closing sets. Adriaanse and junior, Kate Bebout along with junior, Kylee Harris led in kills with 10 apiece. The Coyotes now have one more home game Tuesday, October 8th against Baker University who currently sits at 9-6 before they go back on the road, which they are currently 1-6 away. Adriaanse and Harris both mentioned how they, “learned a lot both games” and are looking to get back in the win column and hopefully get some momentum before their next road game.
