Balance Nutrition is a locally owned nutrition shop that offers a variety of healthy drinks and snacks to those in the Salina Community. Inside, the atmosphere is very cozy because of the colors and the decorations, along with the music that is playing in the background. This makes it a great place to hangout with friends or to get some studying done. The baristas are also very welcoming and friendly and are ready to answer any questions one may have about the menu. Ashley Prochazka, a member of the Salina Community says that “my favorite thing about Balance Nutrition is the environment! The store is always clean and very nice inside. And the workers are all friendly every time I go there. My favorite drinks are energy teas. They always taste so good!”
Recently opening in March of 2024, Balance Nutrition has already seen a bunch of success because of their involvement in the Salina community. Located on 2336 Planet Ave, Balance Nutrition is only a few minutes drive from campus, making it an easy place to stop for Kansas Wesleyan students before or after classes or practices.
On the menu, you can find a variety of different teas and shakes that have many healthy benefits to them. Their teas come in many flavors, and are full with a variety of antioxidants in them, as well as healthy energy too. All of their shakes all have about 20G of protein in them, and you can even add more protein to that if you want. They also have meal replacement shakes as well. Shelby Lingle, a student at Kansas Wesleyan University says that “I really like Balance’s meal replacement shakes. They are perfect for when I am on the go and when I need a little more protein.”
Not only does Balance Nutrition serve teas and shakes, but also a variety of other things as well. A popular drink that they sell is protein iced coffee which has about 15 G of protein in them, and about 80mg of caffeine. For snack options, Balance Nutrition sells protein balls and protein cake pops.
Balance Nutrition also hosts a variety of events that have taken place at there store over the past few months since they have opened. A few of the popular events in the past were the pumpkin, wine glass, and tote bag painting events.
