KWU Men’s Basketball Weekly Honors

Senior, Izaiah Hale, was awarded KCAC Men’s Basketball Defensive Playerof the Week. He forced 8 turnovers and held his matchups to 11-35 in the Coyotes wins against Northern New Mexico College and Wayland Baptist University. Hale also scored an impressive 23 points in the game vs Wayland Baptist shooting 6-7 from the 3 point line. “Coach looks at me as one of our best defenders so I try to live up to that every game”, was Hale’s words when asked what’s his defensive mindset going into games. 

Senior, Alex Littlejohn, who has been the scoring leader so far this season for the Coyotes was awarded KCAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Littlejohn against Waldorf College almost finished with a triple double putting up 19 points, 13 rebounds, and 9 assists. Following with an insane 34 points and 12 rebounds game in the loss to Morningside University. Littlejohn has earned a lot of KCAC honors over his 4 year career at Kansas Wesleyan. Littlejohn mentioned how he, “doesn’t really look into the awards I just try to do the best I can every game for my team and whatever comes with it comes”. Hale and Littlejohn were also both awarded Kansas Wesleyan Athletes of the Week as well.

The Coyotes are now 4-2 as they host McPherson University Wednesday, November 20th, at 7 PM in Mabee Arena.
