KWU Men’s Basketball 39 Point Win
Written by Dreylin Kemp on December 16, 2024
The Coyotes got a crushing 100-61 home win Wednesday, December 11th against York University. After seemingly taking a different offensive approach playing very slow. A lot of positives happened this game, which was the Coyotes desperately needed with them not playing well as of late. Starter and veteran for the team Easton Hunter was out with an ankle sprain, so some other Coyotes had to step up.
Freshman Carson Jones led the Coyotes in scoring putting up 20 points. When asked how he felt after the game Jones mentioned how he was just, “happy we got the win and everyone got to play”. Aiden Leckband, a player who has, “worked my way up the ladder and into rotation”, scored 14 points. Tucker Bowman scored 14 points as well. And Alex Littlejohn scored 20 points and broke a 70 year old record with field goals. Adding another notch on his successful career belt. Check out more about the story here.
The Coyotes are now 7-5 overall and 2-4 in conference. As they look to stay on the winning side and make a run before going into Christmas break. The next game is Saturday, December 14th, at University Of Saint Mary’s. Who has not lost a conference game so far this year.
